Ok who is into the semi-finals in Basel & Valencia?
The day started with a surprise result in Valencia. Pico Monaco, who had knocked out top seed and defending champion Andy Murray in the previous round was up against Lucky Loser Marcel Granollers. All was going well for Pico as he raced into a 6-1 1st set lead. A spirted fightback from the Spaniard along with some poor play from Pico gave the local player the win in 3 sets.
Other matches proved equally decent matches with Simon having to overcome a dose of bad play to beat Davydenko in 3 though Robin Soderling had an easier time taking just 54 minutes to beat an in-form Monfils
