The International Management Group (IMG) and Taiwanese organizers announced that a series of tennis exhibition games will take place in Taiwan during the months of September – October in a bid to boost public interest of the game tennis. World’s number one, Rafael Nadal of Spain will play against the world’s number six, David Ferrer on 1st October at Taiwan’s National Taiwan Sport University, and just a week prior to this highly anticipated match, a women’s tennis exhibition game between former world number one Maria Sharapova and world number three Vera Zvonareva will be staged at Taipei Arena on the 22nd September this year. The two international class matches will be the biggest tennis event in the history of Taiwan who is trying to produce its own world-class tennis players. Tickets for the matches will be available in 7-Eleven’s ibon and official ticketing websites.
