Rafael Nadal - Honorary Member of Real Madrid

Real Madrid CF's Board of Directors had a meeting Presided by Florentino Perez yesterday, in which they decided to make Vicente del Bosque, Placido Domingo and Rafael Nadal Honorary Club Members, the highest distinction bestowed by the Club. Real Madrid CF wishes to publicly acknowledge the professional careers of these illustrious Madridistas, who feel for, and deeply love, this entity.

Vicente del Bosque is recognised for his impeccable work as the coach of World Cup champions Spain; Placido Domingo is being acknowledged for being a musical phenomenon that has become an unquestionable figure in the history of opera; and Rafael Nadal is honored as the world's no.1 tennis player. These wonderful achievements make all three worthy recipients of the Club's recognition.

This extraordinary distinction has previously been bestowed on other prestigious personalitites, such as Real Madrid Honorary President Alfredo di Stefano and FIFA President Joseph Blatter.
